Company History

1964 Setsuyo Trading Co., Ltd. established with a capital of 2 million yen at Itachibori, Nishi-ku, Osaka. 
Started export of wiring equipment, conduct tubing and its accessories as well as insulation materials to Asia.
1966 Opened Bangkok Representative Office in Thailand.
Started export of distribution equipment of Mitsubishi Electric Corp. to Asia.
1969 Opened Taipei Representative Office in Taiwan.
Opened Manila Representative Office in Philippines.
1971 Opened Jakarta Representative Office in Indonesia
1973 Established Setsuyo Enterprise Co., Ltd. in Taiwan.
1975 Started export of Mitsubishi Electric Corp. semiconductors to Asia.
1976 Hitoshi Watanabe was appointed President.
Started export activities including procurement and sales of members to Mitsubishi’s overseas manufacturing companies.
1979 Opened Seoul Representative Office in Korea.
1984 Opened Seoul Branch Office in Korea
1985 Started export of Mitsubishi Electric Corp.
FA products to Asia.
1993 Established Setsuyo Enterprise(S) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.
1996 Established STC Techno Seoul Co., Ltd. in Korea
Established STC Enterprise H.K. Ltd. in Hong Kong.
Opened Ho Chi Minh Representative Office in Vietnam.
1997 Established Shanghai Setsuyo Trading Co., Ltd. in China.
1998 Increased capital to 90 million yen.
1999 Became an affiliated company of the Mitsubishi Electric Corp. Group with a 20% investment from Mitsubishi Electric Corp.
2000 Established Han Neung Techno Co., Ltd. (present Mitsubishi Electric Automation Korea Co., Ltd. )in Korea, a joint venture company with Mitsubishi Electric Corp.
2002 Campany name was changed to Setsuyo Astec Corporation
2003 Capital share of Mitsubishi Electric Corp. increased to 35%.
Established SETSUYO ASTEC(THAILAND) Co., LTD.
2006 Moved to its present address, Minamimorimachi 2-chome, Kita-ku, OSAKA.
2007 Established PT.SETSUYO ASTEC in INDONESIA.
Established SETSUYO AUTOMATION TRADING(SHANGHAI) CO.,LTD. IN CHINA.
2014 Become an owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Group (100% share).
Yukio Murata was appointed President & CEO.
Our company has marked the 50th anniversary in December 2014.
2018 Motokazu Inaba was appointed President & CEO.
Branch Office name was changed to Setsuyo Astec Corporation Korea Branch.
